Model 49PC/FL and Model 49PC/AL Drop Arm Turnstiles
Perey Turnstiles manufactures a unique product line for use by people who need BOTH clear passageway from 16″ to 72″ wide AND the security of a tripod Turnstile – the Drop Arm Turnstile. This provides access control functions similar to that of a tripod-turnstile while allowing a free passage width adequate for wheel chairs, carts, etc. The Model 049SS/xx is designed for use in stadium suite access areas, casino lobbies, amusement park main gates and rides and other areas where access control and a count is required but turnstile lanes cannot have obstructions as people pass through.
The Model 049PC/xx includes powder coated steel cabinet. It has an array of industrially-hardened aperture controlled sensors that monitor the passageway. The “brain” of the Model 049PC/xx is our new “SuperController”.
We have recently added a remote programming feature to our Optical Turnstile controller. Our new “SuperController” can be remotely programmed to meet a customer’s changing requirements. This can be accomplished without the need for a factory technician’s visit.
When operational requirements change, simply call us with the new requirements and we will e-mail you the new programming, upload and test the new program using a laptop computer.
All of our Optical Stiles are programmable to allow the following features:
a. Uni-Directional Operationb. Bi-Directional Operation
c. Remote “Lockout” Of One Or Both Directions
d. Unauthorized Entry Alarm Local and Remote
e. Unauthorized Exit Alarm Local and Remote
f. Piggy Backing Alarm Local and Remote
g. Package Only Entry Alarm Local and Remote
h. Package Only Exit Alarm Local and Remote
i. Slow Travel Alarm Local and Remote
j. Walk Away Alarm Local and Remote
k. Crawl Alarm Local and Remote
The Model 049PC/xx can be customized to fit the particular needs of an application. Custom features such as marble tops, added or reduced length and customized reader mounting is available along with customized indicator lights.
Short Form Specification
WEIGHT: Fixed 140 lbs. Net – 190 lbs. Crated
COVER: Deep drawn stainless steel, .078″ thick, corners with 1-3/8″ radii.
Cabinet: Welded double wall (cavity) construction Each wall .078″ thick. 2″ blending outer wall radii, 1/4″ thick stainless steel base plate.
Cabinet: ANSI #304 stainless steel welded double wall (cavity) construction. Each wall .078″ thick. 2″blending outer wall radii, 1/4″ thick stainless steel base plate.
BARRIER ARM: ANSI #304 Stainless Steel tubing with #4 finish 1.5″ diameter with spun closed end and .054″ wall thickness. Each arms length shall be sufficient to insure a 4″ gap between the ends of the arms in the passage barring position. Arm shall drop in the vertical plane from a passage barring position into a recessed cavity in the cabinet.
PASSAGEWAY: When Barrier Arms drop, passageway shall be completely free allowing for the unencumbered passage width to accommodate the layout.
BARRIER ARM MECHANISM: The Barrier Arms shall be operated by a motor-and-chain drive system with motion limit switching. A magnetic clutch will be employed for safety slippage to minimize the possible impact on obstructions to arm passage and for fail-safe function. Motor controls will be by industrial heavy-duty switches and relays with service rating of 3,000,000 cycles.
DROP ARM TURNSTILE ELECTRONICS: The passageway shall be monitored by an array of 16 industrially hardened water and oil sealed coded infrared sensor arrays and one “SuperController” of the latest generation. Emitters of the coded infra-red signal shall be in the cabinet opposite the primary arm mechanism. The drop arm turnstile shall have intelligence capable of the operational functions and alarm functions below. It shall be capable of being programmed by the owner for changes in functions and alarms without the need for a factory technician’s visit.
